Bulking is cool. You get to eat all your favorite foods, sleep all day long , and you’ll gain muscle right?

Well yes and no. While eating more is very important to gaining muscle, it is not the only thing that you need to do. You also need to realize that gaining muscle in an effective manner is also about watching how much food you eat otherwise you will end up putting on too much fat for your own good.

A lot of people like to promote bulking these days, especially Hollywood celebrities. The reason behind this is because it sounds cool when someone says they eat 5000 calories a day to bulk up for a role like Chris Hemsworth or Chris Evans did for their roles in the Avengers, Thor, and Captain America. Everyone wants to know how to look like a superhero but doesn’t realize how big and effect eating plays in the bulking role.

If you want to bulk without the fat then you need to start eating big only on your workout days. On your non-workout days, you will need to then eat less calories since you are not as active. Make sense?
